Hello! I’m Gabby

I’m a mom of two, a registered nurse (RN), a baby nerd with degrees in human development and psychology, and an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) who supports ALL moms. Welcome!

Mom Makes Joy began in 2013 as a lifestyle blog called Essentially Eclectic, where I shared the creative projects I worked on outside of my 9-to-5 job. In 2017, as I transitioned into life as a stay-at-home mom, the blog evolved into Mom Makes Joy—a parenting-focused space that reflected my new season of life. Over the next eight years, my interests expanded beyond the home, leading me to become a lactation consultant and eventually a registered nurse.

Today, Mom Makes Joy serves as something of a time capsule from that chapter of my life. I now spend most of my time developing my other blog, NurturingMilk.com, where I support new mothers on their breastfeeding journeys. That said, I still find my way back here from time to time—especially now that my girls are older and eager to craft alongside me.
